Why I Don’t Care About the Election

My friends in Malaysia asked me why have I not commented on the Malaysian Election on March 8th.
I have to simple reasons.

1. I have been busy.
2. Barisan Nasional is going to win anyway.
Whenever I surf the blogs, and news channels (except Bernama), the pages are stamped with the pictures Malaysia Decides. Criticisms from the Oppositions, and the Internet Malaysians are often seen on pages like the Malaysia Today. Insults will be thrown at the ruling BN, criticizing each, and everyone of those ‘beruks’ (monkey in Malay).
Some even throw some silly lines saying “BN is going down”, or something along that line.
But we all know BN is not going down.
It has slipped, yes, but it is certainly not going down. At least, not this year.
Keeping up with the news, I’m fine with that. To look forward to another mass-demonstration in Malaysia, I’m eager to see. But to hope that things are changing in Malaysia in 2008, I don’t think so.

Point is, I already know what majority Malaysia Decides.
