Amien Rais: Ready for Presidency, again?

I read the news that Amien Rais, Indonesian prominent politician, who led, and inspired the reformation era, and ended the dictatorship of Suharto, would like to run for Presidency.

In an interview with Liputan6 reporter, he said he would be ready for presidency, if there are no young candidates in the election.

“If there is no young candidate in the election, I might be ready to volunteer myself.” said Amien in Padang, West Sumatra, Friday.

Amien explained that he would wait for one year for these young candidates to appear, before listing himself.

In the 2004 election, Amien Rais lost in the first round of election, with a total number of 15, 8 million votes, which sat on 4th place.

What do you Indonesians think?
